Return sermon shared on Sunday, January 24, 2016.
Jesus wants to save us to the uttermost and He desires to sanctify our entire being, even our sub- or un-conscious. Most Christians only deal with the tip of the iceberg, but the Holy Spirit wants to take us deep into our being and even heal our emotional infirmities - things like a low self-worth, perfectionism, hypersensitivity, or fear. There is a pathway toward healing for all that who willing to face their past.
We close this lesson with thoughts from John Lynch’s great book The Cure. We have two roads from which we can choose: either the path of Pleasing God or the path of Trusting God. After a demonstration, we see that without Faith it is impossible to please God, so we must take the path of Trusting God first, for our faith is the foundation of pleasing God.
