Return sermon shared on Sunday, January 3, 2016.
In this lesson, we look at the brevity of life and how Solomon called everything under the sun vanity of vanity, or meaningless. We compare time to eternity by using a long rope with just a little section of the rope representing our life on Earth. We take a look at the end of Luke 6 and what it really means to be standing on the Rock - which is obeying the Word of God. We then look at various people in the Bible that stood in the gap by trusting God enough to obey Him, concluding with Noah a man that found grace and spent over 100 years building the ark in the face of great opposition and wickedness.
There are many breaches or gaps in the walls of the society in which we live. Is God calling you to stand in a gap?
