Return sermon shared on Friday, February 19, 2016.

The real key to a victorious overcoming life in Christ is to live from the perspective of our New Man and not through the lenses of our Old Man.  Our Old Man is dead, crucified with Jesus, therefore we are to live in the identity of our New Man, Jesus in us, the Hope of Glory.

The Bible says that we believers are dead and our life is hid with Christ (Colossians 3:3). Romans 6 says our old man is crucified with Him and we should walk in newness of life. Grace is the empowering presence of God that enables us to become the person that God sees when He looks at us.

Religion calls us “a sinner,” God calls us “a Saint.”  While God works on our identity, religion is working on something that God has already killed
