In this lesson, we look at several key scriptures from Ephesians chapters 4, 5 and 6. These are instructions to the church on how to live the Christian life, dealing with different types of relationships. Then we go back and remind ourselves of what we learned from chapters 1, 2 and 3. We have to know who we are in Christ to be able to love well and to be able to live out the Christian life in a way that pleases God. The work of God is to believe. To trust God to save us and to believe we are who God says we are, in Christ. The Babylonians gave Daniel and his 3 friends different names as soon as they captured them and brought them to Babylon. These 4 Hebrew boys refused to accept and take on the new identities that the Babylonians tried to give them. Romans 8 tells us that it is the mission of the Holy Spirit to teach us and convince us that we are truly God’s children and joint heirs with Christ Jesus.
