Christians are fighting a spiritual battle in the invisible, spiritual realm that is a very real fight. The devil will not relent as he tries to knock us down with deception, offenses, temptations, and accusations. In this lesson, we study what it means to wear the breastplate of Righteousness compared with trying our best to live the Christian life being like wearing a muscle shirt of self-righteousness. It is not what you do as a Christian that determines who you are; it is who you are that determines what you do. Once we really know and believe that we are who God says that we are in Christ, then we can wear His righteousness and we can live through our new identity “In Christ”. We closed this lesson by looking at a list of things that God’s Word says we are “In Christ”.
