The main theme of the Bible is the Fatherhood of God and the Son-ship of mankind. God the Father wants a vast family of mature sons and daughters. In this lesson, we look at Abraham's journey of Faith as God made him the father of many nations. Before Abraham could become a father of many nations, he had to learn to become a mature son of God. Abraham’s journey of faith was a journey of growing into a mature son. The key to Abraham's success, as he was called a friend of God, was Abraham's willingness to build altars to God. Whenever he needed to recommit or rededicate his life to God, he would stop and build an altar. His ultimate test came at Mt Moriah where he willingly offered up his son Isaac on the altar of God.
