Humility attracts the Holy Spirit. Humanity cannot build a place good enough, or perform well enough to attract God's presence, yet God chooses to dwell with the humble and broken (Isaiah 66:1-2). In Ephesians, Paul tells the Jews and Gentiles that God is building them together to be a place where he dwells by His Spirit (Eph. 2:22). God chose two very different and broken groups of people, Jews, and Gentiles, and brought them together through Jesus Christ. Paul then instructed the Jews and Gentiles to walk worthy of this high calling, stewarding the presence of God, by being completely humble and keeping the unity of the Spirit (Eph. 4:1-6).
