The name Lucifer means light bearer and morning star. When God created Lucifer he was a light bearer. He shined in God’s eternal Heaven as the morning star. His ministry was to herald in each new dawn of God’s ever revolving Name. He was to open the curtains to a new “morning” in the spiritual heavens. He was beautiful, and full of wisdom.

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee
— Ezekiel 28:12-15

Lucifer wanted more. He wanted to be God: he wanted to rule the heavens and God’s angelic host, or the stars of heaven. Hence, God cast him and the angels that followed him, to the earth. His mission since that time and until the present day is to continue his war against God and all that is Godly for the purpose of being God and ruling over God’s creation.

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit
— Isaiah 14:12-15

The nature of fallen Lucifer is diverse and powerful. He manifests himself as a Dragon, Serpent, Satan, and Devil.

And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years
— Revelation 20:2

The demonic spirit world is a real world, structured and organized in military ranks, Lucifer himself being the general and voice of command.

And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels
— Revelation 12:7
Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels
— Matthew 25:41
But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils
— Matthew 12:24

Fallen Lucifer – the prince and captain of the fallen angels – wages war against God and His saints. His aim and goal are to lay hold of God’s own and to steal, kill, and destroy.

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy…
— John 10:10

Lucifer’s purpose and powers are manifold in nature, but are always with intent to claim for himself what is God’s, and to destroy what is Godly.

He disguises himself as an angel of light.

For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light
— II Corinthians 11:13-14

He is a murderer and father of lies.

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it
— John 8:44

He is a seeking, devouring lion.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour
— I Peter 5:8

He is a tempter.

And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread
— Matthew 4:3

He condemns.

Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil
— I Timothy 3:6

He is the deceiver.

And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever
— Revelation 20:10

He weakens nations.

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty
— Revelation 16:14

He sets traps.

And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will
— II Timothy 2:26
Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil
— I Timothy 3:7

He hinders the work of God.

Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us
— I Thessalonians 2:18

He is the accuser of the brethren.

And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night
— Revelation 12:10

He is the god of this world that blinds hearts.

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them
— II Corinthians 4:4

He is a ruler of the darkness of this world.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places
— Ephesians 6:12

God has given His church power over ALL the powers of fallen Lucifer and his armies of demons and devils.

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you
— Luke 10:19
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places
— Ephesians 6:11-12

Lucifer’s ultimate end is defeat, judgment and destruction.

And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not;(he was defeated), neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night
— Revelation 12:7-10
And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever
