Shortly after our first gathering, Return Ministries set out to find a home from which we could worship the Lord, fellowship one with another, and be a blessing and positive impact for the community around us. In April of 2015, the Lord blessed us to find an older church in Clarksville, IN which had been abandoned for some time and was in need of love, care, and attention. After inspection, prayer, and deliberation, Return completed the purchase of the building in August of 2015 and began the tremendous process of restoration.
Although initial estimates were optimistic, the work to restore our home was tremendous. Everything from plumbing, to flooring, to fixtures had to be entirely removed and restored. In reflection, the experience was ever-so-in tune with where we were as a church - a place of healing, restoration, and renewal.
Through the tremendous efforts of volunteers, contractors, and workers, we set to restore our home - a place to worship and to serve.
By God's Grace, our restorative labor of love came to completion in June of 2016. On June 5 at 11 AM, we opened our doors for the first service. We are so immensely blessed to be a part of the community in Clarksville and look forward to the powerful, life-changing work the Lord has ahead.
